DRIVEN BY COMMUNITY. BUILT FOR CHANGE.
Spear Foundation is a community-based non-profit organisation founded by the youth of Ward 3 in eNdwedwe, KwaZulu-Natal. Established in February 2025, we empower and support our community — particularly women and youth — through skills training, psychosocial support, GBV awareness programmes, and community development initiatives aimed at restoring dignity, reducing violence, and creating sustainable livelihoods.
COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR SURVIVORS, YOUTH AND FAMILIES.
We deliver integrated, community-based services that meet people where they are — from safe shelter and trauma counselling to skills development and health care. By combining GBV support, psychosocial care, skills training, and community awareness, we help survivors heal, empower women and youth, and address the root causes of violence, unemployment, and poverty.
Our work reaches Ndwedwe, Inanda, Ntuzuma and Durban North, as well as surrounding communities including uMzinyathi, Emaphephetheni and eKukhanyeni.
STAND WITH SURVIVORS. INVEST IN CHANGE.
BUILT BY THE COMMUNITY. FOR THE COMMUNITY.
ROOTED IN ENDWEDWE. DRIVEN BY PURPOSE.
THE COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT & GBV SUPPORT CENTRE
Our flagship project is to rebuild and equip a community wellness and support centre for the people of Ndwedwe, Inanda, Ntuzuma and Durban North — a safe space for survivors of GBV, with access to counselling, health care, and training programmes that empower women and youth to rebuild their lives.
